I refrained from posting about the Triforce that was found in the recent Google logo because I dismissed it for coincidence, but after seeing this blog posting, I am convinced of one of either of these two things:

1. People at Google love Zelda and they sneak it into the holiday logos.
2. The Triforce is just a Sierpinski Triangle, and thus a common vector to be used in the making of these graphics.

I'm not sure which of these two it is, but this blog posting is very interesting. Here are some examples of what they've got:

See the rest, and tell me what you think!

Well . . . it's not like Nintendo can sue them, since the Triforce is just a fractal anyways. Maybe that has something to do with it, too? I don't know anything about programming.

I think you're looking to far, and as its the religious symbol for the Shinto religion, much like the cross for Christianity

I think it is a common symbol. You also see it on the box of the Tron game: A man is holding a disc, and on the disc you see the triforce symbol.

the artist of the google drawings confirmed with hyrule.net that she is a fan of zelda and they are meant to be the triforce from zelda.
